Samos Island:
Samos is located in the North Aegean Sea, in a group of islands
called the Eastern Sporades. The Island can be accessed by sea and
by air. Rich in culture and history, Samos Island is a definately

A wonderful mountain village full of Greek tradition. The village

Vourliotes, or a short drive through the valley of the nightingales.

The fishing village of Kokkari with its narrow winding streets is

Samos Town:
is the capitol and main port of the Island and has many shops, restaurants,
bars and cafes. The Archaeological Museum is home to the 5 m (16
ft) colossal Kouros that was found at Heraion dating back to 580

Pythagorion:
is a thriving tourist town, with its picturesque harbor, town beach,
many restaurants, tavernas, bars, cafes and tourist shops. |

Temple of Hera:
This has been the site of many temples worshiping Hera, the last
being built under the order of Polycrates in 525 BC, the largest
temple in Greece. Today, only the foundations and a single column
remain at the site. |

Efpalineio Tunnel:
The 1,040m (3,410 ft) long Ephpalineo aquaduct is one of the most
significant engineering feats of the ancient world. Commissioned
by Polycrates and designed by Eupalinos the tunnel guaranteed water
supply to the ancient city of Samos. |

Turkey:
Only 1h40m from Samos Town via Ferry, the Turkish town of Kusadassi
is a wonderful place to visit. Located only 25 minutes from Kusadassi
is the ancient city of Ephesus, marvel in the history and culture
of this wonderful country. |

Patmos:
It only take 50 minutes on the 'Flying Dolphin' and you could be
on Patmos, the island that many have named as the second Jerusalem.
Visit the Church of Saint John, and the Cave of the Apocalypse where
St. John wrote the book of Revelations. |
